Scorpions: Tickets go on sale for 2024 Las Vegas Residency

The Scorpions started in 1965 in Germany, and achieved massive popularity between 1978 and 1992. For anyone who reached teen and young adulthood in the ‘80s, the Scorpions were the band to see. Because those fans have never stopped listening, their children and grandchildren have become dedicated Scorpions fans too. This is the music that joins generations, and the Scorpions are still the band to see.

Three Important Notes about the 2024 Scorpions Las Vegas Residency

  • Open to the public Ticket Sales begin November 10th - Presale started on November 6th for the Scorpions Rock Zone official community and Citi card members. Caeser’s rewards Entertainment members along with Ticketmaster and LiveNation customers received early access on November 7th.

  • The Scorpions have lined up 9 dates in the Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood & Casino.Opening night will be April 11, 2024 and closing night in Las Vegas is scheduled for May 3, 2024.

  • You'll hear songs that everyone knows at least a couple of lines - This Scorpions residency celebrates the 40th Anniversary of the Love at First Sting album, their ninth (9th) album that contains the most recognizable titles: “Rock you Like a Hurricane,” and “Big City Nights.” Where better to see them than in the city that celebrates all things decadence, and doesn’t mind if you party all night?

Triple Scoop from MoshPlayLive’s Vegas Trips

Concerts in Vegas are not cheap. The price of the ticket is relatively the least expensive part of the whole trip. For this reason, locals love the variety of concerts that they get to see throughout the course of a year.

Transportation

If you are traveling to Vegas - consider the cost of transportation. There can be good deals when flying if booked at the right time. Check out frequent flier memberships.Try booking on a Sunday or a Tuesday approximately two months before the date of flight, if you are able to be flexible, airlines often have cheaper flights midweek.

Getting around - the local bus service is affordable. When we were there construction meant that some routes had interruptions. While waiting at one of the stops, the scheduled bus drove right by even seeing the passengers waiting. I had checked the app, and it showed the bus arriving at the stop and there were no signs the bus stop was closed.

Taxis are transparent about pricing and most provide a flat fee based on distance, so getting stuck in traffic doesn't boost the cost. A taxi ride from the airport to most locations near the strip may be $20-30. Planet Hollywood is about three (3) miles from the airport. But, the Best Western in Henderson is about 16 miles away. A taxi drive further away could be $50-75 or more.

Staying the night

Booking the resort where the venue is located usually works the best, next best is in walking proximity to the venue. Again consider hotel deals available, remember though the offered price usually doesn’t include the standard resort fee, which can easily double what looks like a good deal. Read the fine print and make the decision that works best for you. Also consider the hotel's distance from the airport and venue, as well as the area's safety and walkability. Many resorts have special deals that may include food and beverage options, good views of the city if you enjoy seeing the lights at night, and fabulous suites with soaking tubs. If you can afford to indulge, Vegas can provide many opportunities.

Nourishment

While some can thrive on oxygen and alcohol, others need proper food. You will be able to find all of your fast food favorites, a variety of culture-influenced foods and upscale dining in most of the resorts. Depending on where you stay, it is possible to score meal discounts. And for a Vegas-only experience, you can add to the experience with themed glitz on the strip. Off the strip, you can find the small places the locals frequent. Anticipate paying more than you may in your hometown - add some extra funds to the debit account. Many venues are trending toward cashless transactions.

If this is the memory you want to make - picture this - THE SCORPIONS, playing what Veronica thinks is brand-on-point and their most iconic album, in a city that will only keep your secrets if you don’t post it online. Spring in Vegas, anyone?

In all blue and black - the words Las Vegas over a picture of the city's skyline and the Strip.
