The rest of 2024 will be rocking on the Big Island. Local bands will be performing all over the Big Island, this is a perfect opportunity to find out what all the excitement is about. Big acts from the mainland will be visiting, a show on the Big Island is truly a unique experience with its exotic location and intimate venues offering unique opportunities for artists and fans to enjoy. Here is a sampling of shows filling up the rest of the 2024 calendar.
September
7th - Metallauela- This is going to be a fun one, 4 bands one night, Thrash-O-Matix, Mataleo, Cellar and Show Me Dragon descend upon the Hilo Town Market showcasing talent from the Big Island. High energy Rock n Roll and Heavy Metal will rule the evening, come out and see what the noise is all about. 9/7/2024 Doors open at 5:30pm, 6pm show time, $10 cover.
14th- Rattlebonez/Riptonite- Pahoa will rumble Saturday night, September 14, so make your way into the Lava Shack and find out what’s causing it. Rattlebones and Riptonite will be rocking the night away, it’s the 2nd Saturday of the month, the Farmer’s Market will be going on so expect a packed house. 9/14/2024 Show starts at 8pm, No Cover.
19th- Stalag 13/Terminally Ill/Kauz of Affliction/The Hajj/STD
Old Skool punk fans rejoice Stalag 13 with original lead singer Ron Baird come to the Hilo Town Market for quite a bill. Terminally Ill bring their unique rap/punk sound, The Hajj featuring two brothers from Cypress and representing the Big Island KOA and STD, lace up your combat boots for this one and we’ll see you in the pit. 9/19/2024 6pm, $20

12th-13th- Two day Metal fest at the Hilo Town Market, this is going to rule, MPL will be there for both days. We are super stoked for this 2 day bash, grab your pool noodles and be prepared to be bruised and punished in the pit. Throw up your horns Hilo and get to this show! 16th- El Sancho/Two Years Apart- This show features veterans of the Punk Rock scene and the next generation of rock n roller with El Sancho and Two Years Apart. This show will be at Uila Records in Waimea. 10/16/2024 This is an early show starting at 6pm ending at 8pm, $10 cover.
26th- The Rockaways/???- The Ramones tribute band from SoCal returns to Hilo for what will be a wild and crazy show. Rumors abound about who’ll be joining them on the bill, but they walk among us. The Rockaways will be in Honolulu on the 25th and a special Halloween show on the 31st at Willie’s Hot Chicken in Kona. More details to come

1st -Goza/Riptonite/TBA- We may be a little biased on this one and as well as we should be! Mosh Play Live proudly presents GOZA and Riptonite to Kukuau Studio for a show that will not be forgotten. 445 Light Years from Earth GOZA lands to bring their sound and stylings to the population. Riptonite will rattle the walls with the sound of rock and roll classics. MPL has one more big announcement for the show, details coming in the next couple days, we guarantee you will not want to miss this show! 11/1/2024. 5pm doors, 6pm-9pm show, $10 at the door
December
7th- Strung Out- Fresh off the European Festival circuit, Strung Out hit the Hilo Town Market with their punk rock stylings. Strung Out have been selling out venues across the world this year don’t miss out on your chance to catch them up close and in an intimate setting. Tix are $27, $35 day of show.
